Loychik to introduce legislation preventing vaccine mandates for National Guard

COLUMBUS, Ohio - State Representative, Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) plans on introducing a new legislation this week ensuring that National Guardsman will not be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The bill also states that no negative administrative or legal action may be taken against guardsman who refuse to get vaccinated. This bill follows suit of legislation recently enacted in Oklahoma.
"At a time when we need everyone we have, it makes no sense to relieve or move around Guardsman and potentially undermine the strength of our National Guard," Loychik said.
The anticipated legislation seeks to allow Guardsman to continue their service regardless of vaccination status.
In addition, no negative repercussions will be allowed for those who choose not to get vaccinated.
