SHARON, Pa. -

A mother of three in Sharon continues to recover and is working through rehab to return home to her family.

This comes after a life changing accident last month, when 33 year-old Stephanie Tubb was walking to work at McDonalds and was struck by a garbage truck. As a result she has had both legs amputated.

Since then, the community has rallied around the Tubb family with several fundraising efforts to help pay for medical bills and other expenses that may arise due to the accident.

The latest fundraiser features the quote "Only in the darkness can you see the stars." Tubb tells 21 News this is her favorite quote and will be her next tattoo.

The quote is featured on a t-shirt and hoodie that are being sold with proceeds benefiting the family.

Orders can be placed here.

Tubb has maintained a positive spirit as she recovers from the accident. Last week, for the first time, she shared her story publicly. She told 21 News Anchor Madison Tromler, "Even though I lost my legs, I'm grateful to be alive."

Tubb also expressed how much she loves her McDonald's family, and the entire community, for their support.

This Thursday, February 3rd from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., participating McDonald's locations will donate 20% of all sales to the family. Those locations can be found, here.

A GoFundMe page has also raised more than $70,000. More details can be found, here.
