Luke Bryan to headline July YLive show at Wean Park
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Organizers of the Valley's YLive concerts are betting that a third time will be the charm for this summer's event.
JAC Management has announced that country music star Luke Bryan will headline a July 16th, 2022, show at 7 p.m. along with Riley Green and Mitchell Tenpenny.
YLive's Bryan shows scheduled for 2020 and 2021 at Stambaugh Stadium had to be canceled because of COVID restrictions.
This year's concert will take place at a different outdoor venue.
The music will take place at Youngstown's 20 acre Wean Park which sits between the Covelli Centre and the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre.
“It will be like nothing we’ve seen before,” said Phoebe Breckenridge of JAC Management. “The stage will be in the Covelli Centre Parking lot facing the Market Street Bridge.”

There will be 10,000 reserved seats and then thousands of lawn seats in Wean Park.
Breckenridge says the concert will have a festival feel with lots of space, concessions, restrooms, and downtown parking.
Regular ticket sales begin through Ticketmaster’s website beginning Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10 a.m.

Bryan, a five-time Entertainer of the Year awardee, has played sold-out shows for more than 12 million fans in nearly 40 stadium concerts.
The Youngstown concert will take place one day before Bryan's birthday.
The first Y-Live concert was held at Youngstown State University's Stambaugh Stadium in 2017 and featured country superstars The Zac Brown Band.
Since then, two more Y-Live events were held at Stambaugh Stadium with Florida Georgia Line headlining in 2018 and Blake Shelton playing in 2019.
All three Y-Live events drew more than 15,000 people.
JAC Management says construction on Phelps and Front Street will not affect the concert because parking is elsewhere.
"Most of our parking will be in the downtown central business district and will be in the parking garage and the parking garage at YSU," Eric Ryan, President of JAC Management and JAC Live said, "So we have about 2,500 spots available in downtown Youngstown and very few of them come off Front or Phelps."
