Catholic Charities host all-women golf outing for domestic violence shelter
Catholic Charities put on the event after learning that it lost 40 percent of its federal funding.

COLUMBIANA, Ohio - More than 100 women took to the links in Columbiana Monday morning to raise money for women and children in need.
Catholic Charities put on the event after learning that it lost 40 percent of its federal funding.
All the money raised will go to the Christina House Domestic Violence Shelter in Lisbon to help the women and kids who reside there.
"The money is going to the operations of the shelter and the programs that support women and children who have been in domestic violence situations," Nancy Voitus, Executive Director of Catholic Charities said.
A total of 33 teams played in the outing.
Catholic Charities hopes to raise at least $28,000.
