STRUTHERS, Ohio - A local radio station has announced a new scholarship for seniors at Struthers High School preparing for college this fall.

90.7 The Summit (WKTL-FM) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of its broadcast partnership with Struthers City Schools by announcing the Dennis Spisak Attitude For Gratitude Scholarship.

In addition, the station will be announcing a unique donation for the school district on Friday, May 12 at the Struthers Board of Education at 11:30 a.m.

Applicants for the scholarship are tasked with reflecting on someone they know or love who have experienced physical and/or mental health-related disruptions or challenges in their life.

The scholarship is named after former Struthers City School Board member, Dennis Spisak, who has been a longtime program coordinator for WKTL and the voice of Struthers High School football.

"Dennis embodies the spirit of local community public radio. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and happy to name the scholarship in his honor," said The Summit General Manager, Tommy Bruno.
