McNally announces nearly $275,000 in state funding for fire department MARCS systems
Funding from this program is used to help offset costs for purchasing systems, equipment, and/or services that are a part of MARCS.

Ohio & Mahoning Valley - State representative Lauren McNally announced that a total of $274,485 in state funds from the Multi-Agency Radio Communications System (MARCS) have been given to multiple fire departments in Ohio's 59th district.
Funding from this program is used to help offset costs for purchasing systems, equipment and/or services that are a part of MARCS.
Recipients from Ohio's 59th district include:
- $42,719 for the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Department
- $36,371.50 for the Salem Fire Department
- $44,159 for the Winona Butler Fire Department
- $49,381 for the Beaver Township Fire Department
- $12,795.75 for the Berlin Township Fire Department
- $20,195 for the Coitsville Volunteer Fire Department
- $39,693.40 for the Demascus Volunteer Fire Department
- $9,606.60 for the Green Township Volunteer Fire Department
- $19,563.75 for the New Middletown Fire Department
The application period began on September 25, 2023 and closed November 3, 2023. 307 fire departments across 75 counties were selected for funding this year.
