The Youngstown State men's basketball team find out tonight who their first round opponent is Thursday,

The (2) Penguins earned a first round bye and play the "second lowest remaining seed" after first round games are complete.

"The guys will come to my house, we'll have a meal and have at least three scouting reports  ready," said Coach Jerrod Calhoun.

"We'll have every game on and see what happens," he continued.

The Penguins are on a three game winning streak and finished the season 14-2 at home, their best record at Beeghly Center since 1976-77 when they were 16-2.

"We're approaching it one game at a time and one day at a time," said senior DJ Burns. "We practiced for an hour and a half (Monday) and everyone was engaged from 1 to 15."

The Penguins finished third in attendance averaging 2,505 fans and that energy is needed Thursday,

"Hopefully this place is sold out, " said Calhoun, "we have no students on campus (spring break) so hopefully the general public comes here and creates a hostile environment."

Youngstown State has never made it to the NCAA tournament and Calhoun feels this team has as good as shot as any in the league.

"I think this league is crazy and it's going to be an exciting tournament."
