Boardman music teacher pleads not guilty to drug possession charges

A Boardman music teacher has pled not guilty to drug possession charges on Monday.
Forty-five-year-old Robert Pavalko pled not guilty to charges of aggravated possession of drugs and permitting drug abuse during his arraignment Monday afternoon.
His bond was continued at $5,000.
Pavalko was arrested following a sex sting back in April where police say he tried to meet a sex worker in Columbiana County.
The Boardman Local School district had previously released a statement back in April on the charges stating that the incident did not take place on school property and did not involve any students.
He was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of his legal proceedings and an internal investigation.
Pavalko is due back in court on August 19 for an intervention hearing.
