Dog dies in Austintown apartment fire
The fire began around 4:30 p.m. in the kitchen of one of the apartments.
A dog has died after it was trapped in a fire at Compass West in Austintown.
The fire began around 4:30 p.m. in the kitchen of one of the apartments.
Officials say no one was home when the fire began and no human was hurt.
Flames grew so large that it appears to have scorched the outside of the building just above the front door.
The dog died before crews could get into the apartment.
