SHARON, Pa. - The Mercer County Food Bank's Mobile Pantry Program is operating a pop-up food distribution this Friday in Sharon.

According to a release, the program is expanding its hours to the evening for those who do not have access to pantry services during traditional hours earlier in the day.

The Mobile Pantry Program helps provide food to low-income families and individuals who are experiencing hunger in Mercer County.

Distributions will be made in the parking lot of the Save A Lot Plaza which is located at 110 S. Water Street. It will be in operation from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 27 while supplies last. 

The Mobile Pantry runs three times a month, along with a pop-up operation in the last week. Locations and dates can be found below.

  • -First Wednesday, Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church, 3461 Sandy Lake New Lebanon Rd in Sandy Lake from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • -Second Thursday, St. John's Lutheran Church, 10 Beil Hill Rd in Greenville from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • -Third Friday, Reynolds Drive-In, 3706 N Hermitage Rd in Transfer from noon to 2 p.m.
